Mission Initiatives
Community Meal A community effort organized by the Church in 2006, the meal is held in our Fellowship
Hall every Friday evening. Provides a hot, nutritious meal and fellowship for those in need and others
wishing to attend. Meals free or by donation.
Teddy Bear Ministry Provides stuffed teddy bears to comfort people in need. Distribution includes
nursing homes, senior centers, and emergency medical services.
Support to Local Organizations:
Otsego County Food Pantry (provision of food for people in times of need)
Otsego County Habitat for Humanity (helping families obtain affordable housing)
Women's Resource Center (assistance for victims of domestic violence)
Friendship Shelter (providing shelter for homeless residents)
CROP Hunger Walk (ecumenical effort addressing hunger worldwide and locally)
Wider Church Ministry:
One Great Hour of Sharing support for development, famine and disaster relief in US & 70 countries
Neighbors in Need supports justice & compassion and native American ministries across the US
The Christmas Fund assists retired or active ministers & surviving spouses/children facing overwhelming
financial need
Strengthen the Church assists church leadership development and growth locally and nationwide
